Boudicca 1980 £35,000
One of a pair of 70 ‘ narrowboats built by David Piper for Dartline hire boats.
Originally named “Muddy Waters” Bou has been my home for the last 15 years but chronic arthritis forces me to sell her.
She has had her share of bangs and bashes over the years but she was robustly made of British steel. I’ve regularly blacked and maintained her and her 30 hp 3 cylinder Lister plods economically.
8 solar panels, led lighting 12 volt sockets and multi fuel range many recycled materials used in the fit out.
Main entrance via back steering cabin (handy for boots and coats) over cruiser stern to office/studio area then lounge with two couches. Next fitted kitchen washing machine Morco water heater and 12volt fridge. Then dining/ work area then toilet shower then bedroom with access to generous front deck with views over the water.
Appledore 55’ Cruiser Stern 2000 £59,500
Built by Clifton Cruisers With moorings available at Riverside Island Marina, Isleham Ely.
Having a Reverse layout.
Art/ bedroom area.
Appledore Has been my home for almost 2yrs its been an exciting and a great experience to have spent on this lovely narrow boat. My partner and I are taking another pathway together hence my reason for selling her.
It has black waterproof canopies to the back and front of boat. Helps keep wind and rain at bay making the boat extra warm and cosy with seating in both areas. In the summer I have my breakfast on the front deck and watch the wild life go by.
Design Improvements include new bathroom with a french bath & shower over. New cushion flooring, electric radiator and redecoration.
Kitchen redesign comes with a hand made wooden storage unit with work surface. New Morco water heater which gives hot water for shower and the kitchen. Shelving, washing machine, oven/hob and grill, 12volt fridge with freezer compartment. New work surface, sink & taps and a new water filter.
Brand new 12volt lighting and sockets throughout, together with a small portion of 240 volt electric sockets too.
Lounge has a built in sofa with storage underneath. The heating for this area and for the rest of the boat is powered by a beautifully efficient Squirrel Stove with tiled surround. It has steel topper to house your kettles, saucepans etc. It’s a great asset and a wonderful focal point and keeps the boat toasty warm.
There has also been the addition of an side hatch which is finished in oak and is double glazed.
Engine has been cleaned and bilge area repainted. New bilge pump.
Appledore has a 12mm base plate and was blacked November 2020 with a hull survey carried out at the same time. In Littleport Marina by Andrew Clarke and Pat Tierney.
The front of the boat I use as an art area, with a good portion of storage for hanging clothes etc.
